A wine made from a tiny Greek estate.
Petros Karydas (whose father represented Greece the Winter Olympics in the 1960s) farms only 7 acres on a steep hillside in Naoussa, in North Western Greece. Here the ‘Xinomavro’ (=bitter black) is the grape and the wine has plenty of weight and power, despite a relatively pale colour. It’s barrel-aged for 2 years. This is a rich, slightly rustic-flavoured red. Something different. A real winter warmer!
